Proper attire – shorts, tank tops, runners etc.
Paper copies of any diagnostic tests (i.e. MRI, CT, x-ray results) that would aid in the understanding of your illness/condition in order to better formulate a suitable treatment plan that meets your individual needs
What to expect at your initial assessment:
Subjective information (what you provide to the physiotherapist) will be reviewed and further questions may be asked for clarification
The physiotherapist will then guide you through an objective assessment, which involves checking the movement and strength of the bones, joints, muscles and ligaments of the body part that is injured
The physiotherapist will then discuss the findings of the assessment with you and provide education about your injury
The goal of the first visit is to perform a complete assessment to determine the cause of your injury and how the physiotherapist can best help you. Exercises may be provided on the first visit as time allows
What to expect at your follow-up treatments:
Brief review of your current condition and review of exercises
Manual therapy (hands-on treatment) related to your injury or condition
New exercises and recommendations about how best to treat your injury

Do you need a doctor's referral?
While doctor’s referrals are not required to receive physiotherapy services from Masterpiece Therapies Inc., a doctor’s referral may be needed in order for you to receive coverage through your plan. Always consult your plan provider for details of your coverage options
What is the cost of physiotherapy services and what is provided at each session?
NOTICE (DECEMBER 1, 2018): Physiotherapy assessment and treatment prices will be restructured starting January 1, 2019. Prices are as follows until December 31, 2018:
Initial Assessment fee (60 minutes): $85
Subjective and objective assessment of one injury/area of concern, discussion of findings, education, exercises and treatment as time allows, plan for next visit.
Treatment fee (30 minutes): $65
- Review of current condition, treatment (hands-on therapy, use of equipment/tape as required, exercise prescription), education, plan for next visit.
Treatment fee (60 minutes): $105
An option for clients who would benefit from longer duration treatment on one (or two) areas of concern. Note: An initial assessment of different injuries/body parts must be performed prior to providing combination treatment.

We offer direct billing for the following insurers:

Does the physio clinic treat patients injured in motor vehicle accidents (MVA AB claims) or at work (WCB AB claims)?
Yes, we provide treatment for MVA AB patients.
- We do not treat WCB patients at this time.
